The Radiant Queen boasts a purpose built diver lift. Constructed out of stainless steel and wide enough accommodate divers with multiple stages.
Our dive briefings are unparalleled in Scapa – No one else does it better. Why is this?… Because we dive. We have a combined experience of 29 years diving knowledge & experience on the German Fleet. If there's something you want to see we can tell you how to get there. If you see something you don't recognise we can probably tell you what it is. If you find something new – we will do our upmost to identify it.
Dive briefings really are our speciality. We believe that with a bit of knowledge of what you are going to see under the water coupled with an idea of why it's there and what it did you will gain the most out of your dives in Scapa.
Full, in depth dive briefings are offered for each dive site to include shot line position, max & min depth, current, points of interest, expected marine life, history, We use 3D scan images, photographs & drawings to help you visual the wrecks.
At the start of your charter the skipper will also give you a tour of the boat & a safety briefing. This will cover everything you need to know from emergency procedures, entry & exit procedures & shot lines/SMBs to where the biscuits are kept! Our dive briefings will also include any site specific safety requirements you need to know.
"I'm very fortunate to be able to say that I have enjoyed diving in various locations around the world and have a fair bit of experience of dive boats. With this experience in mind I would like to share with you that your dive briefings are the best I have ever come across. Not only do you give accurate information of what the diver can expect but you also paint a very clear and simple picture of the dive site that enables a stress free and enjoyable dive."

There really is nothing better than someone else cooking you a hot lunch on a dive boat.
Lunches are available on board with fresh home baking every day.
We use fresh local produce, cook everything from scratch and choose organic and fair-trade ingredients whenever possible.
Special dietary requirements - please let us know before you come.
Emily's home baking has long been considered the best in Scapa – but you should try the rest too. She thanks her Gran for the baking and blames her mum for sending her out to work in restaurants for the rest!
Our pint mugs are fab – they don't spill and they are so big they double as hand warmers.
After dive pints of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, girly fruity tea or orange squash are served as standard.
Finish your dive, sit down on the dive bench and get handed a pint and a biscuit – bliss…
We started our own clothing range in 2009. We use only ethical materials to produce a range of unique Scapa Flow souvenirs. Our garments are all fairly traded and organic where ever possible.
We worked closely with a local graphic designer Alex Leonard to produce some stunning images. We have a range of t-shirts and hoodies in both men and women fit..
Orkney stockists include:
Argos was set up in 2009 by wreck researcher Kevin Heath, author David Earl and Radiant Queen Charters
The aim is to document all aspects of aviation history on and around the Orkney and Shetland Isles. We now have members from all over the world and a dedicated team here on Orkney regularly searching for lost aircraft on land and under the water. Indeed there are still 6 missing planes in Scapa Flow but we are working on it!

We will mix your gas to order for each dive. There is no need to move your gear as all cylinders are filled where you sit. We carry oxygen as standard and can supply helium to order. We also have a booster pump to make rich mixes easy.
We understand the needs of underwater photographer whether you use a small compact camera or the all singing all dancing monster. We will help make sure your camera is kept safe and can usually pass things to you in the water and take them off you before you get back on the boat. For the heaviest of equipment we have lifting gear next to the ladder to retrieve your belongings.
We want everyone to get the most out of their Scapa experience. Talk to us about your needs and we will tailor your holiday to suit.
